How it works

Offload your gear

Bring your bike, bags and camping equipment to the ride start point. This will always be accessible, in a major town or city and near a major railway station so it’s easy for you to get there. We’ll provide plenty of guidance to help you plan your journey to the ride start point. Hand your gear to us and we’ll carry it for you in our support van.

Enjoy the ride

Our expert, first aid qualified ride leaders will guide you to the festival gates. If you prefer to race ahead, no problem. You’ll get smartphone-friendly turn by turn directions and a GPX navigation file from us before the ride. We’ll aim to cycle along quiet, scenic roads, through beautiful UK countryside, historical points of interest and pretty villages. Our support van will journey every mile with you, and we’ll set up complimentary roadside lunch & snack stops to keep you nourished and hydrated.

Staying over

On multi-day rides, you’ll stay overnight in a full service campsite (we can book you into a snug hotel or B&B if you prefer). We’ll hand over your tent to use at the campsite or, to make things even easier, we can pre-pitch a tent for you and take it down in the morning. In the evenings we’ll book a table for the group in a local country pub for a well-deserved dinner or make a campfire. You are, of course, free to do your own thing if you prefer. The next morning, you’ll enjoy complimentary coffee and breakfast before we continue the journey

Arriving at the festival

When you arrive, we’ll help you lock up your bikes in the festival’s secure storage facilities, hand over your bags and camping equipment and bid you farewell. We'll also hand over your weekend hot shower wristbands the Shindig Weekender team has decided to give all cyclists as a reward.

Getting home

We offer two options. Either you can make your own arrangements to get home (if, say, a friend can take you and your bike back in their car) or, from as little as £15 depending on the distance, we’ll take you back by coach and transfer your bike back in our support van. Whichever works best for you. We’ll hand your bike back to you as you get off the coach. It couldn’t be any easier.
